This policy explains how Style Driven uses cookies and similar technologies on styledriven.com. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
02What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a site places on your device to make it work, work better, and tell the site owner how it's used. Similar technologies like pixels and local storage do comparable things, and this policy covers them too.
03Essential cookies
These keep the site working, so they're always on. None of them are used for analytics or ads.
- +Your cookie choice (sd_consent_v2), kept until you change it, and a "not now" (sd_consent_later), kept for the visit.
- +Light or dark mode (theme).
- +Your shop cart, print list, and rental kit (sd_cart, sd_print_list, sd_rental_kit), and shop sign-in (sd_shop_session).
- +Your newsletter sign-up (sd_blog_reader_email), so the form knows you're on the list.
- +Sign-in for our team's admin area and the partner portal.
04Analytics cookies
With your yes, these show us which pages work and which ones need rewriting.
- +Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) counts visits and the actions that matter to us, like a booked call or a sent message. Kept up to 2 years.
- +Microsoft Clarity (_clck, _clsk, and a few set on clarity.ms) shows how people move through a page, including replays of clicks and scrolling, with form fields hidden. Kept up to 13 months.
- +Our own analytics (sd_vid, sd_sid, sd_last) records the pages you visit, time on each page, how far you scroll, and the buttons and links you click, in our own database. Kept up to 2 years.
- +How you first found us (sd_first_touch): the tags on the link you followed to the site, the site that sent you, and the first page you saw, kept in your browser. It reaches us only with a message or booking you send, so we can see which channels bring people to us. Kept 90 days, and deleted when you turn Analytics off.
05Marketing cookies
With your yes, the LinkedIn Insight Tag (li_sugr, bcookie, lidc, UserMatchHistory and others set by LinkedIn) lets us show our work on LinkedIn to people who have visited the site, once we run LinkedIn ads, and tells us which ads brought people here. Kept up to 2 years. No other ad network runs on the site.
06What runs without cookies
These set nothing on your device, so they run for every visitor.
- +Vercel Web Analytics, from our host, counts page views. It uses no cookies and resets its visitor count every day.
- +Ahrefs Web Analytics counts visits and where they came from, without cookies.
- +With Analytics off, Google still gets a count of the visit, without cookies (Google's Consent Mode).
- +Videos play through Vimeo with its Do Not Track setting on, so the player sets no cookies.
07Your choices
Nothing optional runs until you choose. Close the banner, or click anywhere else on the page, and nothing is turned on. We'll ask again on your next visit. Only Accept all, or a yes under Choose what we use, turns something on. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, the settings panel says so and Marketing starts off.
Cookie settings, at the bottom of every page, changes your choice any time. Turning something off stops new cookies. The ones already set stay until they expire or you clear them in your browser settings, where you can also block cookies altogether. Blocking essential cookies may break parts of the site.
08Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll change the effective date at the top.
